    The Council’s mission is to advocate for Veterans rights and benefits, preserve the memory and pride of those who served in the United States Armed Forces, to honor their sacrifices and to promote and foster understanding and unity among Veteran and civilian organizations and the community.

  • Veteran Service Organizations (VSO) and Non-Profit Organizations Supporting our Veterans

    The Council comprises of 45 plus, Veteran Services Organizations (VSO) and associated Posts. They meet monthly at the Center to coordinate and advance shared interests and services to the Veteran community and to disseminate information to all members and related parties, promoting supportive relationships and strengthening member networks

  • Flag Retirement Drop Box

    To properly retire your American flag, tradition dictates that your flag is folded and dropped off at a Drop Box so that it can be disposed of correctly and with ceremony.

    The Drop Box is located at the Oahu Veterans Center and is regularly maintained by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 970. Please ensure your flags are folded prior to dropping off during office hours.

  • HONOLULU IS NOW A PURPLE HEART CITY

    The Purple Heart is the oldest military medal awarded in the United States. It is given to military service members who are killed or wounded in combat.

In April, 2022 we held our OVC JROTC Scholarship Ceremony.  Our Veterans gathered and socialized as we recognized 16 significant JROTC cadets from 16 Oahu High Schools  for their outstanding leadership, discipline and integrity. Congratulations to all the OVC Award Cadets of 2022 !
